Baldur's Gate
Cloakwood Forest
Cloakwood is the largest forest in Baldur’s Gate’s surrounding.
It is ancient, thick and mysterious, made of hangman trees, beeches, elms, felsul, and hiexel trees.
Inhabitants
Cloakwood is known as a dangerous forest. It is home to giant spiders, Wyverns and several fey creatures.
The sages of Candlekeep claim there used to be several portal to the feywild within the forest, but they were probably destroyed during the Spellplague.
It is also home to a grove of druids.
Several adventurous nobles keep hunting lodges in the forest, but the druids are the only humanoids that keep a permanent residence there.
